License Testing

HPARC and the City of Oak Park offer amateur radio license testing on the first Tuesday of even months at the Oak Park, Michigan Community Center (14300 Oak Park Blvd, Oak Park, MI 48237) beginning at 7:30 PM.

Siren Tests

HPARC runs the southeast Oakland County siren test subnet on the first Saturday of the month from March through November. The net manager is Marsha N8FE. If you want to participate, please contact Marsha at n8fe@arrl.net to be pre-assigned a siren.

Meetings

The Hazel Park Amateur Radio Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month, September through May, at 7:30 PM at:

Hoover Elementary School
23720 Hoover
Hazel Park, MI 48030

Occasionally we meet on the third Wednesday due to the school schedule, so watch the calendar for the exact dates.

Most meetings feature an entertaining technical presentation covering some aspect of amateur radio followed by socializing over coffee and donuts, and then a short session of club business.

Free parking is available in the school parking lot at the north end of the building. Handicapped parking is for those with Handicapped permits only. The area next to the gym entrance is for drop off supplies or persons with special needs only.

The "Tobacco-Free Schools Law,” does not allow any use of tobacco products in the building. Tobacco products may be used in designated outdoor areas by adults as allowed by law.
