hparc.org is Getting a Facelift

Pardon our dust…

We’ve been working hard on updating the HPARC website.  There have been many changes made already, and some more to come.  We’ve upgraded the software that runs the site, we’ve changed the overall look of the site.  The site is now mobile friendly, so it is readable on mobile devices and tablets.

We’ve cleaned up the front page to consolidate duplicate information.  All of the external links and DX tools that used to be in the side columns, now have their own page.  You can find them by clicking on the Links and Tools menu at the top of every page.  The news feed and contest calendar have also been moved to sub-items on the Links and Tools menu.

We’ve eliminated much of the outdated information on the website.  As updates become available, they will be posted and announced.

The structure of the website was altered slightly. Now new information is posted at the top of the main page.  As new posts are made, older ones will “drop off” the bottom of the page.  This doesn’t mean the posts are gone.  They are all still available by clicking on the page number buttons at the bottom of the page.

A lot of things have changed, we certainly hope the changes make the site more usable.  We’ll continue making improvements to the site and strive toward keeping it as up-to-date as possible.

Stay tuned and 73!

Michigan QSO Party

by N8NZB 0 Comments

Coming up soon is the Michigan QSO Party contest. It runs from noon to midnight EDT on Saturday, April 15, 80 to 10 meters phone and CW. This is a fun contest where, unlike other contests, everyone wants to call you. The rules are pretty simple. For every contact, you give a serial number and your Michigan county. The other station gives you the same, or his state or province if not in Michigan. You can contact a station once on each band and mode. Best bands are 20 and 40 meters in daylight, then 40 and 80 meters after dark. More information, including full rules and a list of Michigan counties, can be found at http://www.miqp.org/
